Fox Hole is perfect for the vacationing couple that wants a little privacy! It features 1 queen size bedroom, plus a full size sleeper sofa in living room, one full bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen, cozy dining area for two, gas log fireplace, air conditioning, electric heat, satellite HDTV, DVD player, washer/dryer, telephone, hair dryer, iron, all linens, a private back porch with gas grill, cafe table with chairs and two reading chairs and is pet friendly. |

We renovated this charming cabin using a combination of old and new. All the walls are made of poplar and floors of pinewood. The living room features a sleeper sofa, which can be used for extra guests or children, a pair of side tables adorned with beautiful alabaster lamps and two sitting chairs. Both side tables and coffee table were new complimenting an antique grain bin or kitchen cabinet from the early 1900's that we used to house the HDTV, DVD player and small selection of DVD's. We loved the metal bin drawers and the history behind the piece. The gas fireplace was moved to the corner and a custom fit mantle was added. Also added was a mini split air condition and heating unit on the wall for your comfort. Left side of the living room features the bathroom, which was renovated with new tile floor, pedestal sink and some deep shelves for extra storage, a washer/dryer room and an antique corner piece which was used as a pie or pickle cabinet to cool off and display homemade goodies. You can almost imagine the smell of that homemade apple pie! There are many antique shops in the surrounding areas of Cashiers, Brevard and Hendersonville and Asheville for antique lovers. |

The queen size bed is appointed with a Patch Magic spread and the shams and pillows were custom made from fabrics that we loved. We recovered the headboard with burlap. You can awake in the morning looking out the window at nature. We also installed a hand painted four season window from a local artist in the area and a ceiling fan. The antique wardrobe cabinet came with the cabin and we added the quilt lining to the inside to coordinate with the bedding. All the window treatments were custom made throughout the cabin. |
The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Just bring your food and you are ready to go. Inside is also a cozy dining area for two. Upon you arrival is also a small welcome basket on the kitchen table with coffee, cocoa, etc. |

Included on the outside secluded back porch is a small cafe table with two chairs for intimate dining as well as a gas grill for that favorite meal and two comfortable cushioned reading and resting chairs to spend your leisurely time enjoying the surrounding nature. Or if you prefer to enjoy a meal outside and enjoy a beautiful spring or autumn day, we have a separate picnic area with a picnic table. You might even be greeted at your doorstep by a real Fox, it has been know to happen! We have also provided a Welcome Book in the cabin with brochures and information on activities in the area or check our activities page, where we have provided you with many links to websites of interest for research before your arrival. |
