This cabin was designed for the vacationer
who loves luxury
in a rustic mountain setting!
This two bedroom
cabin has one queen and
one double and one bath/shower. It had been
completely renovated
with newly installed
vintage oak rustic floors from
Vintage Beams &Timbers in Sylva, NC.
This
cabin features a complete kitchen, gas
fireplace, air conditioning,
satellite TV/VCR/DVD,
telephone and a large front porch with
a gas
grill, picnic area and firepit overlooking the
barnyard meadow.

The
cozy but spacious living room is is a combination of old and new. A comfortable sofa was recovered and is large enough
to seat four guests. Another large wingback chair was recovered
with bears and other animal fabric which adds additional comfort for reading or watching TV. The coffee table is hand carved
telling a story of a bear catching fish in the river and
is quite a spectacular find. We had a hard time parting with
the beautiful hand carved ebony mirror by the living room
chair.

A
separate antique maple dining table and
chairs seats four
and is by the fully equipped
kitchen. All paintings throughout the cabin are
originals and found at various antique shops in
the southwest area. The painting frames are
made with vintage barn board to fit the theme
of this cabin

This two bedroom
features one queen and one double bed
with Patch Magic quilts,
bedding and curtains. The bedroom walls are a combination of various kinds of barn
board wood, oak, pine, walnut etc. You must come and see the surprise

we have burned into the wood. It's a real treat! The remaining wall
is wainscoted above
with barn tin, which
has naturally rusted
with age and is
finished with polyurethane. Each
bedroom also has a
cedar lined closet,
antique dresser and a sitting chair. The shower/bathroom was renovated replacing the old with a new tile floor and a full size cabinet. We added a little rustic charm
by hanging an old cranberry scoop on the wall keeping the
clean washcloths.

The
outside front porch overlooks the Barnyard Meadow
and has
a large red swing to relax in. Outdoor dining can be enjoyed
while overlooking the meadow with the locally made table
seating four guests. An outdoor gas grill is provided for your
use. A picnic table is also available just outside the porch for those beautiful sunny mountain days and also a firepit for those cool mountain evenings.
We have provided
a Welcome Book in the cabin with brochures and information
on activities in the area or check our activities page, where we have provided you with many links to web
sites of interest for research before your arrival.
